Where can those who are interested in Taxonomy find training opportunities in Germany, Europe and the rest of the world? Which universities and non-academic organisations offer courses on the topic and which target groups are being addressed? What are the areas of expertise and focal issues that are being covered by those trainings? In order to answer these questions we have conducted some research and are presenting the results on this website. You have the possibility to search the table for the federal state, target group, topic and language.

Current training opportunities in the field of taxonomy and biodiversity can be found on the website of the "Netzwerk-Forum zur Biodiversitätsforschung Deutschland" (NeFo).

The Distributed European School of Taxonomy (DEST) has launched the expert-in-Training programme 2011-2012. On-the-job-training includes morphological and molecular techniques, bio-informatics and other taxonomic research skills. The programme includes a wide variety of topics and the courses will take place at research institutions, universities, and natural history museums all across Europe.
